We are broadly interested in community and landscape ecology, and use modelling tools to study ecosystems ranging from forests to the coastal ocean. Our “integrative” group is composed of two theoreticians interested in the complexities of real data, a fish community ecologist with a statistical bent, a geographer fond of graphs, a scientific programmer who knows her plankton and a database administrator to manage and analyze local data sets. Most of us are affiliated with the University of Bordeaux, within the frame of the Labex COTE, a multi-lab initiative to foster ecological research across ecosystems and disciplines. The ITE group is co-headed by Laure Carassou (Irstea) and Frederic Barraquand (CNRS).
